Who we are

This website is operated by Altitude Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for information collected through this site.

What we collect and why

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use this site — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and which tools are used. This helps us improve the site.

GA4 collects:

• Pages you visit and how long you spend on them
• General location (country/region, not precise address)
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• How you arrived at the site (search, direct, referral)
• Custom events — for example, whether you completed the project triage tool and what risk level it returned

GA4 does not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifying information. IP addresses are anonymised. Data is processed by Google and subject to Google's privacy policy.

Legal basis: Consent. GA4 only loads if you accept cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage (key: cookie_consent).

Project Triage Tool

When you use the project triage tool, your answers are sent to the Anthropic API to generate an analysis. We do not store your answers. They are not saved to any database, logged, or retained after the API call completes. The analysis result is returned directly to your browser and never written to persistent storage on our end.

Anthropic processes your input according to their own privacy policy. Do not include sensitive personal data, confidential commercial information, or anything you would not want processed by a third-party AI provider.

Cookies

We only set cookies if you accept our cookie banner. The cookies set are:

We also store your cookie preference in localStorage (key: cookie_consent). This is not a cookie — it stays in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers.

If you decline cookies, none of the above are set.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. The only third parties involved are:

• Google — analytics data, if you accept cookies
• Anthropic — triage tool input, for AI processing only
• Firebase (Google) — used for site authentication and content storage for site administrators only. No user data is stored here.

Data retention

Analytics data in GA4 is retained for 14 months (GA4's default). Triage tool answers are not retained at all — they exist only for the duration of the API call.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the "last updated" date at the top. We recommend checking back periodically.
